L’EINA, the Ajuntament del Vendrell and the Ajuntament de Calafell requested a complete renewal of a web tool dedicated to the consultation and management of information about industrial parks. The goal was to provide a more modern, stable, and accessible platform that would allow users to locate industrial spaces and easily consult detailed and updated data, both from a computer and mobile devices.

Artimedia was responsible for redeveloping this tool using current technologies such as Laravel and Google Maps, incorporating a responsive design and advanced functionality aimed at improving user experience and facilitating information management by the administration. Additionally, continuous maintenance and technical support were ensured to guarantee the platform’s availability and security.

What was the challenge?

Redesigning an existing tool with technical and visual limitations into a modern, adaptable solution.

  • Migrating content from a previous version without direct online data access, based on a backup.
  • Improving stability and performance with an updated, maintainable long-term framework.
  • Redesigning the interface to be intuitive and mobile-first.
  • Implementing clear navigation to access detailed information about industrial parks, plots, and warehouses.
  • Ensuring agile and secure administrative management for data updates and query handling.

What was the process?

A structured development in phases to ensure quality and usability.

  1. Analysis and design

Analysis of the tool and previous content, definition of the structure, and current responsive visual design, adopting a mobile-first approach.

  2. Project setup

Preparation of the working environment on development servers, configuration of the Laravel framework, and creation of the database.

  3. Front-end development

Layout and programming of the user interface, integration of the interactive map with Google Maps, and implementation of filters and search systems.

  4. Back-end developmen

Creation of modules for the management of users, industrial parks, companies, and plots, and integration with the database.

  5. Testing and validation

Functionality and usability tests on different devices and browsers, iterative adjustments based on feedback from test users.

  6. Deployment and training

Migration to the production server, launch of the tool, preparation of a user manual, and training of the client for autonomous administration.
