  • > 1 year

The company Trenes.com required the development of a mobile application to facilitate its users in consulting, managing, and receiving notifications about electronic tickets. The main objective was to offer a fast and convenient experience for travelers by integrating ticket management features, document reader, and a personalized notification system.

Artimedia approached the project with a hybrid solution developed using Flutter, which guaranteed high performance and a consistent experience on both iOS and Android. Collaboration with the client allowed us to perfectly align the implementation with the corporate identity and the specific needs of the service.

What was the challenge?

The project presented several key technical and functional challenges crucial to the app’s success:

  • Develop an app that integrated native functionalities and webviews, maintaining active user control and security in authentication.
  • Implement a robust local data management system for reservations and tickets, ensuring synchronization and partial offline functionality.
  • Incorporate a native PDF reader so users could easily access travel documents.
  • Manage multilingual push notifications and specific types, including the possibility of promotional voting within the app.
  • Control versions and authentications to ensure the correct experience and continuous updating of functionalities.

What was the process?

The working methodology was organized into clearly defined steps to ensure the objectives were met:

  1. Interface design

Based on the briefing and the client’s corporate identity, a clear and intuitive interface was designed including a splash screen, native pages like login, ticket list, and PDF reader, as well as spaces dedicated to integrated webviews.

  2. Development of authentication and navigation

The login form was programmed and token management was implemented to enable auto-login, in addition to controlling navigation within webviews according to the active user to guarantee a personalized and secure experience.

  3. Local data management and ticket consultation

The “Mis Billetes” feature was designed and developed to allow consultation and local storage of active tickets, including the display of QR codes and PDF documents, with continuous synchronization with the remote database.

  4. Implementation of push notifications and voting

Different types of notifications were integrated, with multilingual support, and a specific system was developed for promotional voting linked to purchases, ensuring the capture and registration of feedback directly in the app.

  5. Publication and maintenance of the app

The process included certificate management, profiles, and publication to the respective stores, with special attention to compatibility, versions, and control of parameters in API communications to guarantee correct user notification.

Results

The development enabled the delivery of a robust and versatile application that significantly improved the relationship between the anonymous client and their end users:

  • The app offers comprehensive and accessible ticket management, facilitating local processing and consolidating the traveler’s digital experience.
  • The integration of multilingual push notifications and in-app promotions has fostered more direct and effective user interaction.
  • Version control and improved authentication ensure users always have the most up-to-date and secure experience.
  • The use of Flutter has ensured a cross-platform solution with optimal performance and simplified maintenance.

This project has demonstrated Artimedia’s ability to develop tailor-made apps in complex environments, balancing functionality, security, and user experience.
